We have long debated about whether to return the stacks of index card tags to consignors after each sale. It is a long, tedious process of sorting 25,000 plus cards and having them ready to distribute at pick up on Sunday. It requires many workers that could be helping in other ways during the sale.

Even though many sales have done away with returning cards, we realize that many of you like to get your cards so that you can see what you did or didn’t sell, see if you priced things correctly, etc.

So-- we think we’ve finally come up with a plan that works for everyone.

Beginning at our next sale, if you want to get your cards back (to have them sorted and returned at pick up) you need to highlight your consignor number with a YELLOW highlighter. Only cards with the number highlighted will be sorted.

This will give our consignors a choice about whether they want their cards back or not. It will allow us to sort less cards more quickly, easily, and accurately. It’s a win/win for everyone.

So, don’t forget to highlight your number before drop-off if you want your cards.
